The Human Resources Director/Risk Manager will plan, organize, and direct the City's personnel programs through management of the Human Resources Department. Such programs include recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, benefits administration, safety and risk management, staff training, and labor and employee relations.

Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in personnel, human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field. Five years of increasingly responsible experience as a personnel or human resources manager in a public or private sector environment with work in recruitment, classification and compensation, benefits administration, training, and labor relations/negotiations. Two years of supervisory experience is required. |

The successful candidate is a highly skilled manager or supervisor accustomed to handling complex operations. The ideal candidate enjoys the constant demands of the daily use of his/her full range of Human Resource knowledge and is motivated to successfully manage multiple tasks. The most attractive candidate is results and detail oriented. The candidate needs to be adaptable, resilient, persistent and able to comprehend broad policy objectives. This individual works with minimal supervision, needs strong analytical skills and well developed interpersonal, oral and written communications skills. |
