The relief Correctional Officer will provide a variety of services on an "as needed basis" and be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the inmates within established laws, rules and regulations at the Community Correctional Facility (CCF). The individual will provide relief while permanent full-time employees are on vacation and/or extended leave. |

Applicants must possess a High School Diploma, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the State of California. Have current S.T.C. certified Corrections Officer CORE certification; current POST Firearms Training and Powers of Arrest certification (PC 832). One year of experience as a Correctional Officer or one to two years experience as a security officer, desirable. Must meet physical and psychological standards, pass a thorough background investigation and possess a valid California Class “C” driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record to the City. |

The candidate must be at least twenty one (21) years of age, willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and be available to report to work within 1 hour of notification. Must be able to work as part of a Team or Alone in close quarters. |
